Read the fecking small print!

RANT ALERT:

When exactly did we become such a feckless useless book passing bunch of spineless twits? The human race that is!

Today I heard on the radio that a woman has reported her mobile phone company for 'letting' her unwittingly run up over £1000 by sending emoji's, this is the latest in a long line of ridiculous suits where folk are blaming companies for not making it clear regarding charges and terms and conditions.
Well actually they did. It's in the terms and conditions of your contract. Yes the contract. The one you read and signed? Yes you signed. Oh? You actually went 'ooo shiney new phone! Yes please! Gimme gimme gimme! Sign? What! Give me a pen and take my money! Read? What? No! I want to use my shiny new toy! Yes yes yes, here, signed! It's just a load of bumpf anyhow!'

Guilty? Yup! Now I'm a bit of a reading addict. I read, EVERYTHING! So I have read most (although I will admit not all) of the contracts I have signed in recent years. We did, Mr me and I get into rotten trouble when we were young and daft.
Lovely folk gave us loans and credit and store cards and such and what did we see? An easy way to get 'stuff' we saw only the access to ££££ we signed, we paid. And we paid. And we paid. And when we couldn't pay they took it anyway and added stuff on. Bastards! But what? Terms and conditions? Contract? I agreed to what?! Oh, shite.

So we grew, we learned, we paid it back. We struggled. We started reading the small print BEFORE we signed!

So, adults (that's most of you!) take on the shiney new phone, get the credit, play with those new toys but before you go blaming anyone for any trouble this may cause you later down the line read the terms of the contract. If you can't read ask someone who can to read it too you. If you don't understand it or part of it or you don't agree then don't fecking sign it! And if you ignore this advice and neglect your responsibility as a grown, intelligent human bean then you have no cause to sue anybody for your own stupidity. Stop it. Stop it now!
